Painting is a relaxing activity and a great option for art enthusiasts. If you are looking for something to do in your free time give painting a try. Sometimes we all go through art blocks. It just sucks when you want to draw and you are all out of ideas. So this blog post is small collection of ideas to paint when you are bored. It may also help you out of an art block

1. Mini Paintings !

Well these type of Paintings take comparatively less time and they are just as beautiful as any other. They are great for a practice session. You can learn a lot about blending colors, background color combinations, layers and more. It's a quick fun art activity. 

Plus point, Mini paintings are just so cute! In case you have a journal, you can use your Mini paintings there. Write down your experience, Track your improvement, note down mistakes. You can use these as stickers to decorate your personal space (like an art wall).

It's not always going to be good but the thing is, it's okay, try  considering it as a part of the learning experience. 

Painting completely from imagination is not everyone's cup of tea. Most of the time I need some sort of reference/inspiration from which I get ideas.    Painting flowers/leaves is one of the most relaxing things to do. They are just soulful. Initially it might feel little tricky. I watch a lot of YouTube videos and practice it so many times.      You don't need to be an expert in calligraphy. You can paint cute background doodles, flowers, patterns etc. and then write a small quote, affirmative words, pun etc.

     Get a good outline of Butterfly/dragonflies from online. Try out different shades of colors for Butterfly/dragonflies.
